21st Annual Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival August 8-10

Old-Time Music Fete July 25th at Cahokia, Illinois Courthouse

CAHOKIA, IL – A wide variety of traditional, acoustic music styles will be on tap Sunday, July 25 at Cahokia Courthouse State Historic Site for the 13th annual Old Time Music Fete, which will feature bluegrass, country, gospel, folk, blues and more acoustic favorites performed by musicians from all over the greater St. Louis region.

Irish Music, Bluegrass Added to Shenandoah Valley Music Festival Season

Carol Beaugard Airs Dan Tyminski Interview July 4th

On Friday, July 4th, Carol Beaugard will air a previously recorded in-studio conversation with Dan Tyminski as her special guest on Lonesome Pine RFD on 89.1, WFDU-FM (www.wfdu.fm). Dan stopped by the studios last week to promote his new debut release on Rounder, Wheels. The interview will also be broadcast later this month on Open Mic on WAMU's Bluegrass Country.

Carrie Hassler and Hard Rain Release First Single from 'CHHR2'

Nashville TN -- Rural Rhythm Records is proud to announce the release of Carrie Hassler & Hard Rain's first single from the group's upcoming CD titled, CHHR2. International Music Score Library Project Reopens Again

Many in the music scene were up set when the International Music Score Library Project (IMSLP) went off line due to copyright threats. Now, Edward W. Guo (a.k.a. Feldmahler), IMSLP's Project leader has announced that the site is alive again with thanks to the Project Gutenberg group. The group is dedicated to keeping the world's masterpieces available to the public for the public good. IMSLP was threatened by the music publishers who claimed copyright infringement of works where copyrights had long expired.
