The record includes songs by Gordon Lightfoot, Pat Metheny & Lyle Mays, Leonard Cohen, Paul Simon, John Hartford, Hoyt Axton, Kris Kristofferson, Mickey Newbury, Adam Mithcell, and others. The album was predominately recorded here at Blackbird Studios, with Gary Paczosa engineering. Guest artists include - David Grier, Jamie Hartford, The Fisk Jubilee Singers, Ronnie & Del McCoury, Odessa Settles, Danny Fowers, Alison Krauss, John Cowan, members of Orchestra Nashville, Andrea Zonn, Sam and Tim, Mary Gauthier, Jonell Mosser, Odessa Settles, Kathy Chiavola, Casey Driessen, Suzi Ragsdale, Moira Smiley, and Guy Clark's #6 Flamenco guitar.
The sessions were built around a core band of Stuart Duncan, Dirk Powell, Danny Thompson and Darrell. No drums. All acoustic. We are looking at a late April / May release in the US.
