 Announcement: Nothin' Fancy Gears Up For Their 9th Annual Bluegrass Festival

Nothin' Fancy SPBGMA 2009 AwardSPBGMA's 2-Time Entertaining Group of the Year, Nothin' Fancy will be hot on the media trail this month to promote the band's upcoming 9th Annual Nothin' Fancy Bluegrass Festival to be held on September 24-26, 2009. The band will visit Anne Williams on her "Sunday Morning Bluegrass" show on WNRN FM radio live on Sunday, August 16th at 10:00am EST. They will perform a few tunes and visit about the upcoming festival.


WNRN covers a large part of Virginia and can be heard in 94.7 in Lovingston, 95.1 in Harrisonburg, 95.3 in Lexington, 91.9 in Charlottesville, 88.1 in Afton, Staunton and Waynesboro, 103.1 in Midlothian and 89.9 in Sweet Briar, Lynchburg, and Amherst. For those who live outside the local listening area, you may listen online at www.WNRN.org.

Internet based radio station World Wide Bluegrass is featuring Nothin' Fancy as their Bluegrass Artist of the Month throughout August. WWB will spotlight music from the band's 17 year career and DJ Gracie Muldoon will interview Nothin' Fancy's mandolin player and lead singer, Mike Andes, live on Saturday, August 29th at 9:30pm EST. Nothin' Fancy, will host the 9th Annual Nothin' Fancy Bluegrass Festival September 24-26, 2009 at Glenn Maury Park in Buena Vista, VA. The festival will include 7-time IBMA (International Bluegrass Music Association) Female Vocalist of the year Rhonda Vincent, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Williams & Clark Expedition, Steep Canyon Rangers, Next Best Thing, Goldwing Express, James King Band, Gary Waldrep, David Parmley, Lonesome Will Mullins, Country Fried Grass, In The Tradition and Wonder. Tickets are $30 on Thursday and Friday, $35 on Saturday or you may purchase a weekend pass for $85. All tickets may be purchased at the gate.
