Announcement: The Kentucky Lake Bluegrass Music Festival Offers Great Lineup for 2009

Event NewsBMNN wrote: on Aug. 29, 2009:
Kentucky Lake Bluegrass FestivalIf there was any doubt about this year's KLBF lineup being the strongest we've ever had, let's put that to rest with a look at the facts. Our 2009 Lineup included five (5) reigning IBMA award winners, and now that the 2009 nominations have been announced, our 2009 KLBF artists have received another 11 nominations overall. Josh Williams is again nominated for Guitar Player of the year, while he and the Josh Williams band are nominated for Emerging artist of the year, as is Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice. Junior is also nominated for Male Vocalist, and his CD, "Blue Side of the Blue Ridge" is nominated for Album of the Year. Dale Ann Bradley is again nominated for female vocalist of the Year, as well as another nomination for for singing on Tom T. and Dixie's "Daughters of Bluegrass". Michael Cleveland is again nominated for fiddle Player of the Year, and his great band is again nominated for Instrumental group of the year. Joining these great bands on stage are Summertown Road, The McKendrees, The Rigney Family, The Ridge Runners, Old Santa Fe, Drive Tyme, and The Cope Brothers.

We are pleased to report that we have reached an agreement with "The Super 8 Motel" at Interstate 24 Exit 27, at Calvert City, Kentucky, to let festival goers have rooms for $53.96 each for one or two people, and only $5.00 per person additional for the festival weekend. Presently several rooms are available for festival attendees at this special rate, and folks planning to attend KLBF 2009 should call and reserve their rooms at this special rate as soon as possible.

You may make your reservations by calling the Calvert City Super 8 toll free at 1-877-395-5566. Be sure to tell the reservations assistant that answers your call that you are coming to the Kentucky Lake Bluegrass Festival to get this discounted rate. Please let us know so we can double check your reservations with the Super 8 management.

This year, the Jackson Purchase Friends of Bluegrass, in cooperation with the Deering Banjo Company, will be giving away a beautiful Deering Vega "Bluegrass Wonder" banjo valued at $2,000.00. You might also get a chance to win a fantastic "Blueridge BR 70" guitar, valued at $1,000.00. The guitar will be given away on Friday evening, at the close of performances by Josh Williams. The banjo will be given away by "The Duke of Drive", Terry Baucom, at the end of the Saturday night performances.

For more information on the Kentucky Lake Bluegrass Festival visit www.klbf.org or www.jpfob.com. You may also call (270) 493-3839 or (270)-556-1510.
