Announcement: Bristol's 9th Annual Rhythm and Roots Reunion This Weekend!

Event NewsBMNN wrote: on Sep. 14, 2009:
Rhythm and Roots ReunionIt's legendary. It's entertaining. It's massive. It's this weekend. It's the 9th Annual Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion this September 18-20 featuring more artists than you can count! Bluegrass, roots and traditional music from the top names will all be performing during the 2009 event! Patty Loveless, The Dan Tyminski Band, Dr. Dog, Gene Watson, Tim O'Brien, Darrell Scott, Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, Dailey & Vincent, John Cowan, The SteelDrivers, The Hackensaw Boys, Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, Justin Townes Earle, Sierra Hull & Highway 111, Larry Keel & Natural Bridge, Webb Wilder and scores more will be entertaining throughout the entire area for three full days of non-stop performances of the music you love.

Not only is Bristol a "Great Place to Live" but its also a great place for some outstanding roots, Americana and bluegrass music! From its home right in the center of the Birth Place of Country Music and a region that gave birth to some of the finest bluegrass artists the world has ever known comes the 9th Annual Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion music extravaganza.

The 9th Annual Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion will once again host some of the best acts in bluegrass, Americana, jamgrass, traditional country, Celtic, Old-time, singer/songwriter, Piedmont Blues as well as other genres. The festival's promise is to have something for everyone by having different genres of music to choose from. They are confident you will discover new artists and add them to your list of favorites.

Excitement is brewing hotter and hotter for Bristol's big Rhythm & Roots Event for 2009. Four blocks of historic downtown Bristol Tennessee/Virginia are closed off to traffic during the 3-day festival. Fans literally are stepping into/out of Tennessee and Virginia as they enjoy the festivities which span three ourdoor stages, one dance tent and 16 indoor stages with music at each throughout the entire 3 day weekend. The indoor venues have seating. The 3 outdoor stages have a limited number of chairs set-up permanently throughout the festival. Festival goers are welcome to bring their own chairs for use at the outdoor stages.

This is one event in the tri-state region you won't want to miss. Regardless of your music tastes, there will be somebody performing life that you'll enjoy. The entire list of performers, schedule and ticketing information is available at the Bristol Rhythm & Roots web site.
