Announcement: Boston Bluegrass Union Presents Audie Blaylock and Redline

Event NewsBMNN wrote: on Nov. 07, 2009:
Audie Blaylock & Redline coverAudie Blaylock and Redline will perform at the National Heritage Museum in Lexington, MA November 14, 2009. The event is sponsored by the Boston Bluegrass Union and also includes a performance by Darren Beachley and the Legends of the Potomac. Audie Blaylock & Redline will be performing songs from their self-titled new album on Rural Rhythm Records, produced by Audie Blaylock.

This Billboard Top 50 Bluegrass chart album has received significant chart success this year including reaching #1 on Bluegrass Music Profiles Magazine's Top 10 Album Chart and also appearing on Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine's Top 15 Album Chart. The CD includes the numerous chart singles, including the current hit, "Whispering Waters," that hit #1 on SIRIUS-XM radio's Top 40 Songs and is now appearing at #8 on Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine's Top 30 Single chart, to name a few.

Audie Blaylock & Redline continue to wow audiences with the energy of the early days of bluegrass music bringing a wealth of talent to the stage at every show. Blaylock is joined by Redline, a group of exceptional musicians and vocalists. The band was honored with a 2009 International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) nomination for Gospel Performance of the Year ("Who'll Sing for Me?") and selected as an official 2009 IBMA Showcase Artist. They have also received past recognition by the organization with nominations for IBMA Emerging Artist of the Year award in 2005 and 2006.

Four-time IBMA Guitar Player of the Year candidate, Audie Blaylock has performed with some of bluegrass music's most distinguished acts over the years including Jimmy Martin, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage and more. He also has done impressive session work that earned him a Grammy® nomination for Best Bluegrass Album and an IBMA nomination for Recorded Event of the Year for "A Tribute to Jimmy Martin: The King of Bluegrass." This group project included Audie Blaylock on guitar and vocals along with a stellar lineup of musicians including former Sunny Mountain Boys J.D. Crowe, Paul Williams and Kenny Ingram.

Tickets are $27 (BBU Members $24) and can be purchased online at www.bbu.org or by mailing a check (payable to the BBU) with self-addressed stamped envelope to Boston Bluegrass Union, PO Box 650061, West Newton, MA 02465. The National Heritage Museum is located at 33 Marrett Rd. (Route 2A), Lexington, MA 02421. Doors open at 6:30pm and concert begins at 7:30pm. Directions can be found at www.monh.org or call (781) 861-6559.
