 Announcement: Donna Ulisse to Headline WNRV Holiday Concert in Pearisburg, VA

Donna UlisseSinger songwriter Donna Ulisse and her band The Poor Mountain Boys will headline the annual WNRV holiday concert on Saturday evening, December 5, 2009 at the Giles County High School in Pearisburg, Virginia. The show begins at 7:00 p.m. with two local favorite bluegrass bands, The Hans Creek String Band and Stateline Bluegrass Band. Tickets are $10.00 each and a portion of the concert proceeds will be donated to the sports and music programs of Giles High School and Narrows High School. Ulisse visited with WNRV owner Dennis Welch in their Narrows, Virginia studios on her spring radio tour while promoting her current release Walk This Mountain Down and was thrilled to be invited back to the area for a live performance and to be part of their annual event. Although she has lived in Nashville for many years now, she is originally from Virginia and always looks forward to performing in her home state as she still has family and friends throughout Virginia.

Ulisse has been busy working dates with The Poor Mountain Boys in 2009 as well as writing for two new CD releases of her own in 2010. She is also looking forward to touring and working more festivals in 2010 while continuing to spend as much time as possible writing songs as she is a signed staff writer for ASCAP afilliated publisher Uncle Hadley Music in Nashville, Tennessee.

As a writer she is also seeing some of her tunes end up on other artists' projects with the song Face to Face on the latest Claire Lynch CD which she co-wrote with Lynch and It Moves Me on the upcoming 2010 release by Darin and Brooke Aldridge which she co-wrote with Jerry Salley.
