Bill EvansNational Champion fiddler Megan Lynch and well known banjoist Bill Evans return to the Pacific Northwest for a series of concerts and workshops. Their workshops are open to all levels of players and are "hands on, let's play" style sessions. Here's all you need to know:


Friday, January 15th: Chehalis, WA: House concert at the home of Jackie Lester. Phone 360-748-6068 for reservations. Megan and Bill are available for private fiddle and banjo lessons in the afternoon on this day as well. Contact Bill at bevans@nativeandfine.com for details.

Saturday, January 16th: Seattle, WA: Fiddle and banjo workshops at Dusty Strings, 3406 Fremont Avenue North 98103. Bill teaches "Bluegrass Banjo Jam Survival Skills" and Megan teaches "Details! Details! Details! Become a Better Fiddler Right Now" from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. $35. Phone 206-634-1662 for reservations or visit www.dustystrings.com for more information.

Saturday, January 16th: Seattle, WA: BEML in concert for the Seattle Folklore Society, Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Avenue, 7:30 p.m. Tickets $16, $2 discount for Society members, available only at the door. Phone 206-734-3718 for info or visit www.seafolklore.org

Sunday, January 17th: Bellingham, WA: BEML in concert at Nancy's Farm, 2050 E. Smith Road, 2 p.m., $12 suggested donation. Phone 360-647-0203 for reservations. This is our favorite Northwest venue - all of you folks from Vancouver, please come down and join us!

Sunday, January 18th: Bellingham, WA: Bill and Megan teach evening fiddle and banjo workshops. Bill teaches "Backup Essentials and Sounding Great At Your Next Jam" $35 and Megan teaches "Double Stops and Drones," $30, 8 to 10 p.m. For Bill's workshop, contact Len Helfgott at leonard.helfgott@wwu.edu or phone 360-647-0203 to reserve a spot.
