 Announcement: More Artist Lineup Additions for Pagosa Folk 'N Bluegrass

Folk N BluegrassPagosa Springs, CO -- New Pagosa Folk 'N Bluegrass lineup additions include Darol Anger and the Republic of Strings plus The Belleville Outfit. Somewhere beyond or behind all musical borders lies a creative terrain where bluegrass, jazz, classical, pop, and various world musics mingle, played by musicians who care more for inspiration than they do for genre. If that place has a name, it's surely the Republic of Strings, for no one knows its contours better than veterans Darol Anger, cellist Mike Block, five-string violinist Lauren Rioux and guitarist Scott Law. They have created the visionary musical landscape of the Republic, exemplified by their two recordings, Republic Of Strings and Generation Nation, for Compass Records. The Republic will play Sunday, June 6 at 4:30 PM.


The Belleville Outfit has already won a devoted following of fans in the four state region (they'll be playing Denver on 2/17; Durango on 2/19 and Taos on 2/20 - check their web site for more info) from their past appearances at Folk 'N Bluegrass and the Four Corners Folk Festival. The band's high energy, flawless instrumental and vocal chops and unique throwback musical style is irresistible to an audience of any age. The group will close Saturday's show starting at 7:30 on Saturday, June 5.

This year's lineup includes a broad range of entertainment due to the varied artists involved. Darol Anger & the Republic of Strings The Belleville Outfit, Matt Flinner Trio, Bearfoot, Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, The Quebe Sisters Band, Kenny & Amanda Smith, Honey Don't, Badly Bent, and Halden Wofford & The Hi-Beams. It's all here for Folk 'N Bluegrass as a wonderful way to greet the summer season.
