Don Rigsby To Perform on The Wheeling Jamboree

Calendar Eventjasonrgrubb wrote: on Apr. 15, 2010:
Don RigsbyDon Rigsby is proud to announce that he will be appearing on the historical Wheeling Jamboree this Saturday, April 17, 2010. Having recently celebrated its 77th Anniversary, The Wheeling Jamboree boasts as The World's Original Radio Jamboree and has launched the careers of some of the most iconic figures in country music history. The show will be live and on the air at 6:30 pm. Also scheduled to perform is Stacy Grubb.

Don is honored to be a part of the legacy of The Wheeling Jamboree and hopes that his fans can come out to The Scottish Rite Theatre at 83 14th Street in Wheeling, WV, and share in this special occasion. For those fans not in the area, the Jamboree is broadcast live over several radio stations and online. Visit www.WheelingJamboree.org for a list of stations or to tune in for a streaming broadcast of the show.

The Wheeling Jamboree is one stop of many as Don has returned to a full time touring schedule after several years of focusing on a university position where he headed up the school's bluegrass music program. While he was dedicated to the purpose of the program and the future of bluegrass music and musicians, he is excited to be on the road once again with his band Midnight Call. He kicked off the year in grand style with his Lonesome River Band reunion show at his homecoming special last month and has a lot of exciting dates in the coming months, including a Japanese and Finland tour, as well as a bluegrass cruise (stay tuned for more information). In addition to these, he'll be appearing at festivals and venues all across the US promoting his latest all-gospel release, "The Voice of God."

To see a complete list of Don's schedule, as well as hear tunes from The Voice of God, visit him at www.DonRigsby.com. Don't forget to mark your calendars for April 17, 2010, to hear Don at The Wheeling Jamboree!
