Alecia Nugent: Hillbilly Goddess

Bluegrass music's artist Alecia Nugent recently released her latest project, Hillbilly Goddess full of some outstanding song lyrics, musical performances and Alecia's soulful voice. The title song, "Hillbilly Goddess", sets the pace of this album. This a heart-pumping lively album that is designed to entertain right from the get-go!

The album is subperb in many ways. Most notably the artistry involved in this project. Nothing was held back. The album features bluegrass greats Tim Stafford, Andy Falco, Rob Ickes, J.D. Crowe, Adam Steffey, Andy Leftwich and more. Harmonies and vocals by Carl Jackson, who also produced the album, Sonya Isaacs, Bradley Walker, and Jennifer Strickland establish a solid foundation for an album with the full and rich sound that we've come to expect from releases with such a large body of talent.

Nugent has put together a collection of emotional heart wrenching songs that bluegrass story songs are known for. Songwriters include Buddy Miller, Carl Jackson, Tim Stafford, Craig Market, Tom T. & Dixie Hall, Tim O'Brien and more. It is no wonder that there just isn't a weak song on this release. Every song is solid, emotional and soulful. This album also contains a short history story of the Nugent Family Band -- a kind of reflection on where Alecia's music evolved from.

Alecia Nugent has soul, originality and that unique characteristic that makes a good song into a great song simply by applying her special touch. The emotion just flows out in every track of Hillbilly Goddess with an honesty that is sincere and pure.

This is a great album and one sure to please and entertain. That's what the music is all about anyway!
