The 2005 IBMA Entertainer of the Year, Cherryholmes, is nominated for multiple awards also. This amazing group is in the running for vocal group, entertaining group and overall bluegrass band of the year awards.

The Grascals popularity has also found them as potential award winners for album, song, instrumental group and overall bluegrass band awards. In addition, members of the Grascals are also contenders with Danny Roberts up for the mandolin award, David Talbot for banjo and Jimmy Mattingly for fiddle player.

The 2006 SPBGMA Preservation Hall of Greats Inductee is Mike Auldridge who is also up for the dobro player of the year award. Mike's entry into the SPBGMA Hall of Greats was announced earlier.
