One of BMP's goals is to provide timely, personal interviews with the bluegrass music industry's leading artists and we definitely achieved this goal with our 1st-Annual Women In Bluegrass issue, said BMP Publisher Kevin Kerfoot. Rhonda Vincent is the reigning IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year and Missy Raines is the reigning IBMA Bass Player of the Year. Dale Ann Bradley, Lorraine Jordan, and Dixie Hall and their involvement with The Daughters Of Bluegrass Back To The Well project also received an IBMA nod for IBMA Recorded Event of the Year; and Sandy Cherryholmes and her family were the 2005 IBMA Entertainers of the Year. Claire Lynch and Alecia Nugent's projects have also been very visible on the bluegrass charts this year. Readers will enjoy getting caught up on what all these wonderful ladies are doing in bluegrass music.
