A highlight will include the J.D. Crowe banjo and Bobby Hicks & Jan Johansson fiddle workshops. Don’t miss the JD Crowe Banjo workshop featuring Tom McKinney Sat 10-12 or the Bobby Hicks & Jan Johansson Fiddle Workshop Sat 9-11 There is limited workshop availability and early signup is recommended.

This 3-day event will feature 10 nationally known bands such as Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, The Grascals, The Seldom Scene, IIIrd Tyme Out, John Starling & Carolina Star, JD Crowe & The New South, The James King Band, The Seldom Scene, IBMA's fourtime, and current, Fiddle Player of the Year Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper featuring Audie Blaylock, Wyatt Rice and Santa Cruz featuring Ronnie Bowman, and a crowd favorite, The Grascals. Miller's Creek (9AM) and The Far City Boys (10AM) will host a free 2-hour "Gospel Show" on Sunday Morning from 9AM-11AM. A special banjo workshop by Tom McKinney will be held on Saturday afternoon at 3PM. As always, you'll want to be sure not to miss their local comedian Dillon!

Many of the area's finest musicians from the hot local bluegrass scene, along with new, up and coming bands, will be on hand for an unparalleled weekend of superb acoustic music performances. In addition to the Grand Ballroom stage shows, many artists will entertain the audience in the cozy sunken lounge, providing fans with an opportunity to listen to the music of these musicians in a close, intimate setting.

The Crowne Plaza Resort is the first and only one of its kind in North Carolina. It will be dedicated to bluegrass for the entire weekend. All of the hotel's rooms will be occupied by bluegrass fans; and all of the facility's meeting rooms will be set aside for picking and jamming. There is a “quiet” block consisting of a few sleeping rooms, hotel has set aside for those who wish to relax in a nojamming zone.

For Hotel Reservations at the Crowne Plaza Resort call the hotel directly at 800-733-3211 or 828-275-8650. To order tickets, contact Milton Harkey (828-275-8650) or order from the website directly www.BluegrassFirstClass.com. As a reminder, all hotel reservations are two nights minimum stay, and, as always, the Crowne Plaza will make every effort to accommodate specific room requests. REMEMBER: Hotel rooms at the Crowne Plaza Resort will go quickly, so be sure to make your reservations now! Those purchasing tickets only or requiring other accommodations should contact Milton Harkey at (828) 2758650. Overflow Hotels are available. Each $40 daily ticket is a “VIP ALL DAY TICKET”” good for both the afternoon and evening performances. All tickets are VIP ALL ACCESS Passes.
