Announcement: Joseph Yakel's New Book, ''The Legend of Juggin Joe'' Full of Country Humor

New ReleasesBMNN wrote: on Mar. 16, 2005:
Follow the hilarious adventures of a New York hilltown boy on a journey from childhood to manhood. Touching lives along the way, Joe reminds us of the true meaning of family and friendship. Fun for all ages, Joe's humor and hijinks will bring a smile to your face, and leave it there for a good long while. From the opening page, you'll be hard pressed to set this book down until you've reached the back cover. With rip-roarin situations from chapter to chapter, it's a peck of fun from end to end.

(PRWEB) March 7, 2005 -- Author Joseph Yakel presents his own blend of humor and drama in this country boy comedy work. Offered as a light-hearted, fun adventure with a feel-good edge, Yakel said he was looking to amuse his audience with something a little bit different. "With Juggin Joe, I wanted to create a funny, but identifiable character, and his own unique 'hook', that would draw readers into his world. Hopefully, I've done that with this comedy adventure, and Joe and the rest of the gang will strike a good chord amongst readers. The world we live in is pretty serious these days...I felt it was a good time to lighten things up a little, and bringing you into Juggin Joe's world is my way of doing that."

Asked about the storyline, Yakel slid into a country drawl and said, "I'd like yah tah take a side-splittin' journey with Juggin Joe, a boy born an' bred in the hilltown ah Westerlo, located in upstate NY. Chapter by chapter, yah'll see firsthan' how jes' one person can touch the lives ah so many folks 'round 'im. First, yer gonna laff at the boy's behavior. Then, yah'll puzzle with b'wilderment an' git yerself 'zasperated with the goin's on 'round 'im. Soon 'nuff, yah'll commence tah rootin' fer Joe, an' maybe shed a tear er two 'long the way as well, as yah discover Joe's passion fer life an' family. Foller 'long, an' see how Joe learns tah play the jug (knowed far an' wide as the toughes' durned instrement tah master in the dadblame music business), how he falls in love with a mountain girl, an' rockets tah country music stardom."

He continued, "Unfertunately, the boy gits 'is heart broke but good, an' then leaves the security ah home tah join the Federal Army. Course, they's plenty ah twists an' turns 'long the way tah keep 'im busy. Which reminds me, did I tell yah that Joe is really the one 'sponsible fer endin' the Cold War? How he done it is a real belly-whopper that yah ain't gonna wanna miss!"

Yakel continued, "After a time, Joe comes back home agin', an' thoughts ah that ole mountain sweetheart ain't far behind 'im. As fer reunitin' with 'er, an' livin' happ'ly ever after? Well, I guess yah'll jes' hafta give the book a read tah find out!"

As Yakel eased back into city-slicker mode, he finished by saying, "Through it all, Juggin Joe brings his own sense of balance and harmony to the world. He is proof that you can take the boy out of the mountain, but you can't take the mountain out of the boy! Discover for yourself that there's a little of Juggin Joe in all of us!"
