Mr. Bruce Moody, age 68, of Marion, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 at the McDowell Hospital. A native of McDowell County, Bruce was born March 14, 1940 and was a son of the late Roy Moody and Nora Anderson Moody. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. His family and his music were his life. A daughter, Gloria Ann Moody, preceded him in death.
Left to cherish Mr. Moody’s memory is his wife, Gloria Randolph Moody of the home; a son, Jimmy Moody of Nebo; special grandson, Ryan Spencer; special great grandson, Abe Patrick; sister, Edna Briggs and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Westmoreland Chapel with Rev. Andy Parky officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 23, 2009 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Westmoreland Funeral Home. Interment will be in McDowell Memorial Park.
