(Manlius,NY) The internationally syndicated bluegrass radio program "Blades Of Blue" announced the first ever bluegrass music Artist Of The Year today. The announcement comes at the end of the program's first year of syndication at radio stations in the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and online.
After tallying the votes from listeners around the globe, Todd Taylor "The Banjoman", has been given the honor of Artist Of The Year based on the caliber of his contributions to quality independent bluegrass music. Mr. Taylor was in the program's 'top request' list based on listeners votes for a number of weeks with his single, "The Race Is On".
Todd has had a long musical career, including appearances on the Grand Ole Opry, and Rick Dee's Top Forty, as well as his recent Grammy nomination.
"We are very excited to have a performer such as Todd Taylor be named our first 'Artist Of The Year'", Said Marc Baum, general manager of the program's production company. "Todd is a great performer and musician, and our listeners around the globe have truly become "The Banjoman's" fans."
Blades Of Blue is a production of Green Mountain Music Productions and Boulton Beach Studios based in central NY.
