Yankee Rebels Bluegrass Release “Flight of the Phoenix”

Ampersand Records is proud to announce the return of one of the New York area’s premier bluegrass bands The Yankee Rebels with the release of their new CD Flight of the Phoenix (Ampersand 60031).

The Rebels hovered atop the NYC Bluegrass heap for more than 3 decades and like the legendary Phoenix Bird, they have risen again and playing traditional yet inventive Bluegrass on this long awaited CD which includes 5 great originals.

The Yankee Rebels is made up by its 3 original members, Les Bayer on banjo and vocals, Dr. Dave Bressler on Mandolin and vocals, and Art Dekhayser on guitar and lead vocals. In addition, The band consists of Allen Cohen on bass and vocals, and Mark Farrell on fiddle, mandolin and vocals.

The band says they draw their material from traditional and contemporary bluegrass, as well as several original vocals and instrumentals.
