Bluegrass Artist Mike Scott to Perform at IBMA Fan Fest

Mike ScottNashville, TN (September 18, 2012) – Rural Rhythm is proud to announce Mike Scott is set for a performance at the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) FanFest on Sunday, September 30, 2012 on the Main Stage at 10:15 a.m. This popular event takes place during the IBMA World of Bluegrass convention held at the Nashville Convention Center, Nashville, TN. Mike currently serves as Host of the Rural Rhythm TV series Behind The Dream that airs on BlueHighways TV. Mike has already welcomed several artists to the show including Marty Raybon and Carrie Hassler. The next episode features the 2012 IBMA Emerging Artist of the Year Nominee, Darrell Webb Band. That show will debut Thursday, September 20 at 8:30 pm ET and will re-air on Thursday, September 20 (11:30 pm ET), Saturday, September 22 (4:30 pm ET), and Tuesday, September 25 (5:30 pm ET).

Mike has two Rural Rhythm albums including Blue Moon of Kentucky – Instrumental Tribute to Bill Monroe with guests Brian Sutton, Aubrey Haynie, Adam Steffey, Tim Stafford, Mike Compton, Ben Isaacs, Rob Ickes and more. Take Me Lord and Use Me (released on Rural Rhythm Christian) includes the amazing talents of: Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs, Rhonda Vincent, Claire Lynch, Sonya Isaacs, Carl Jackson, Jesse McReynolds, Buck White, and Shelton Feazell. One listen to the title track, “Take Me Lord and Use Me,” co-written by the husband and wife songwriting team, Mike and Brenda Scott, and listeners immediately feel the outpouring of faith and passion Mike Scott put into the album.

Fans can also see Mike on Sunday, September 23rd, 2012 at a Revival to be held at The Dickerson Road Baptist Church in Nashville where he will serve as a featured artist and minister of song.

Mike not only tours with his own band, but is also a member of Ronnie Reno & The Reno Tradition who will perform Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the Bill Monroe Uncle Pen Days & Bluegrass Hall of Fame Festival in Bean Blossom, IN. On Saturday, October 6, the group will perform at Jerusalem Ridge Bluegrass Festival at Bill Monroe’s home place of Rosine, KY that will be a RFD-TV Live Recording. On Friday, October 12, they are set for a performance at the Turkey Track Bluegrass Festival in Waldron, AR that will also be a RFD TV Live Recording.
