Lonesome River Band held a fan choice poll earlier this year that determined which songs would appear on Chronology Volume Three. The stand out fan favorites appearing on the album include: Long Gone, Carolyn The Teenage Queen, Am I A Fool, Whoop and Ride, Money In The Bank, Stray Dogs And Alley Cats, Who Needs You, Harvest Time, Sorry County Blues, and Sittin’ On Top Of The World arranged By Lonesome River Band.
The band’s landmark three-album finale fell during the International Bluegrass Music Association’s (IBMA) World of Bluegrass convention held last month in Nashville, TN where Lonesome River Band took home the 2012 IBMA for Instrumental Recorded Performance of the Year award for their song “Angeline The Baker” from Chronology Volume One along with band leader, Sammy Shelor winning his fifth IBMA Banjo Performer of the Year award. Shelor also served as an Award Presenter and performed in an all-star banjo tribute to the late Earl Scruggs.
