Volume Five"Rich Man's Daughter", the brand new single from the upcoming project by Mississippi-based Volume Five, was released to radio programmers last October. The new CD titled Run is the band's third on the Mountain Fever Records label and is expected for release this February. Visit the band's website to hear what this exciting bluegrass band has to offer.

What started as a casual jam band in 2008 has grown into one of bluegrass music’s most exciting and unique acts – Volume Five. While each member of the band has served tenure nationally with well-known artists such as Marty Raybon and Full Circle, Randy Kohrs and The Lites, and Tony Rice, these five musicians together truly shine.

Volume Five features the talents of ring-leader Glen Harrell on fiddle; Jesse Daniel on mandolin; Jeff Partin on guitar, Patton Wages on banjo, and Chris Williamson on bass; and while Volume Five is considered a traditional band, their soulful singing, dead-on harmonies, and precision picking set them apart from others. They received critical acclaim for their first two projects on Mountain Fever Records, Down In A Cell and Children Of The Mountains, and there is no reason to believe their next CD, due for release in February of next year, won't be just as stellar.

Written by former Volume Five band member Colby Laney, the new project's first single, "Rich Man's Daughter" is a perfect example of what listeners have to look forward to with the band's next offering. Glen Harrell's voice soars perfectly with the minor-sounding melody in a way that just proves this band is a force to be reckoned with. "Just like the rest of the bluegrass world, I love these guys," states Mark Hodges of Mountain Fever Records.

"Their signature sound is recognizable after the first two or three notes and there are not many bands you can say that about. After their first release with us, they started gaining momentum and continued that with their second release. 'Rich Man's Daughter' is a good solid grass tune that leans a little on the progressive side. Again.... quality bluegrass."

The first single from the project, "Rich Man's Daughter" has been shipped to radio and is also available to radio programmers via digital download through AirplayDirect. The upcoming CD titled Run will be released in February 2013. For more information on Volume Five, please visit or
