Marilyn RyanDon’t miss this exciting concert with Bonnie Lohman and Marilyn Ryan on Saturday, January 26 at 7 pm at the Commission building, 240 N. Court Avenue, downtown Tucson, Arizona. Bonnie Lohman, one of the founders of the Desert Bluegrass Association, is a veteran bass and guitar with the Southern Arizona Old Time Fiddlers’ Band. She also plays autoharp, fiddle, banjo, and sings. Bonnie has played at numerous festivals and local venues.

Recording artist and songwriter, Marilyn Ryan sings and plays autoharp, guitar, and mandolin. She has opened for the Father of Bluegrass Music, Bill Monroe, and has performed at many music festivals. Marilyn plays locally with and writes songs for the Bear Canyon Ramblers.

Together, Bonnie and Marilyn create wonderful harmonies singing original songs and covers, of bluegrass, country, blues, western and tex-mex. Their love for music is evident in their energy, rapport and delightful performances!

The Pima County Tucson Women’s Commission has been advocating for equality for women since 1976. The monthly Women’s House Concert Series is held every last Saturday of the month. The first half of the evening features a women performing artist followed by a brief intermission and a women’s song circle. So, please bring your songs and acoustic instruments! Players of all abilities are welcome. Audiences of all genders and ages are most welcome! Suggested donation $5, all of which goes to the featured artist. Donations to the non-profit 501(c)(3) Women’s Commission are also welcome and may be tax-exempt.
