Owensboro, KY -- The International Bluegrass Music Museum is proud to announce the line-up for their epic 10th Anniversary of ROMP (River of Music Party). An international event, ROMP features legendary, traditional bluegrass artists alongside the far-flung roots and branches of bluegrass music. Rather than being a strictly bluegrass festival, it is a festival held strictly in support of the International Bluegrass Music Museum.
ROMP 2013 features Merle Haggard, David Grisman Sextet, The Del McCoury Band, Doyle Lawson & Quicksliver, Sam Bush Band, Punch Brothers, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Leftover Salmon, The Deadly Gentlemen, The SteelDrivers, Scythian, Della Mae, G2, Town Mountain, Lost Bayou Ramblers, David Wax Museum, 10 String Symphony, Goodwill, Professors of Bluegrass, Spinney Brothers, Renegade String Band, The Giving Tree Band, The Hillbenders, Kings Highway, Faubush Hill, and the museum's student band, the Kentucky BlueGrass AllStars.
ROMP: Bluegrass Roots and Branches Festival is a 3-day event is held at Yellow Creek Park in Owensboro, Kentucky. Throughout the festival one can enjoy workshops, jamming, child activities, and all-night-after-parties. Arts and Crafts Artisans make the festival grounds visually beautiful with handmade clothing, jewelry, toys, instruments and artwork for sale. Owensboro's best chefs are routinely joined by other creative food vendors, providing a wide variety of culinary offerings. Festival attendees also receive free admission to the International Bluegrass Music Museum. ROMP is the largest annual fundraiser for the Bluegrass Museum.
Camping is on a first-come, first-serve basis. We highly suggest you get to ROMP as soon as you can. Camping is a flat rate fee of $10 per person. Upon arrival, let us know in which area you wish to camp (listed below). You must have a camping wristband to camp. Wristbands will be checked throughout the festival; be sure to wear the right one for that day. Reminder signs will be posted throughout the park. If you only purchased a single day ticket and wish to stay additional days, just go to the gate to buy the proper wristband. One-Day and Two-Day campers will have a specific area in which to camp. You must be out by 11AM the following morning.
