Bristol, TN/VA -- Founding member of the fun filled bluegrass music group, The VW Boys, Dave Vaught is in need of your support to fight a recently diagnosed illness. Dave is a professional magician who has brought joy the literally tens of thousands of people, especially children over the past three and a half decades. As a musician with the VW Boys, he brings more joy with his singing and guitar playing. He has worked extensively in the public school system with the "Dare Program" to help fight drugs with our youth. Now, he needs your help with the costs of his expensive medical costs.
Dave and his wife Wendy are working through some difficult times right now. Dave has been diagnosed with Barrett's Esophagus. Here is the description:
Barrett's Esophagus - Intestinal Metaplasia with high-grade Dysplasia, "Cancer cells of the Esophagus". Barrett's esophagus increases the risk of developing Esophageal Adenocarcinoma, ( a specific type of cancer) The first procedure was done with a knife to cut a mass out, the next procedure will be done with a Laser to burn the remaining cancer cells. Several of these procedures will be needed over the next 12 months.
Even though Dave has some medical insurance it will not support all of his treatments and of course his out of pocket deductibles. Also Dave has experienced loss of time at work...and he does work for himself as his sole employee.
