Two Old Hippies Hires Harry Fleishman

Harry FleishmanBend, OR -- Two Old Hippies, manufacturers of Breedlove and Bedell Guitars and Weber Fine Musical Instruments, is pleased to announce the addition of Harry Fleishman as Head of Research and Development for their facilities in Bend, Oregon. Harry brings over 40 years of guitar designing and building experience – as well as 30 years of teaching experience – to his new position. He’s responsible for pioneering work with multi-scale, multi-hole, and multi-wood-topped acoustic guitars, as well as electric upright basses for several leading guitar companies in the U.S., and around the world. Harry was director for two distinctive educational institutions – American School of Lutherie and Luthiers School International – and also taught lutherie in Italy, China, Australia, and Texas.

“I’m excited about this wonderful opportunity to work with Tom Bedell, and the team at Two Old Hippies,” Harry says enthusiastically. “They are innovative and forward thinking, and have a terrific attitude about the primacy of tone. We’re having a great time continuing our development of world-class acoustic instruments.”

Bedell Guitars are the culmination of Tom Bedell’s lifelong passion for music. Originally offered in 1964, Tom has returned to his first love of musical instruments to produce the current offering of Bedell Guitars, made exclusively in the U.S.A.

Weber Fine Acoustic Instruments recently celebrated their 15th anniversary, having begun manufacturing in 1997. Now located in Bend, Oregon, Weber instruments are handcrafted by experienced luthiers dedicated to producing the finest quality instruments available.
