Nashville, TN (August 22, 2013) - The full schedule of the International Bluegrass Music Association's “Bluegrass Ramble” showcases has been announced; the showcases will take place at seven different venues throughout downtown Raleigh, North Carolina during the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA)’s World of Bluegrass 2013 event, September 24-28.
“In recent years, the showcases have become one of the most popular aspects of World of Bluegrass,” IBMA Executive Director Nancy Cardwell said. “World of Bluegrass 2013 in Raleigh will be a week-long, live bluegrass experience with an exciting and diverse smorgasbord of bands playing every night.”
“In addition to conference attendees, we expect a lot of local interest in showcase wristbands—for bluegrass fans in the Raleigh area who work or go to school until 5 p.m. and want to come out in the evenings to hear some great bluegrass music,” Cardwell added.
Admission to showcases is available to both IBMA Business Conference attendees and to the general public, via “Bluegrass Ramble” showcase wristbands, or a per-venue, per-night fee at the door. The Thursday night Ramble showcase at the Tir Na Nog will be a separately ticketed fundraiser “After Party” for the Foundation for Bluegrass Music.
