Franklin, TN -- GRAMMY Winner Brad Davis is winding up a great year of success from his 'Walk On Faith' project and poised to raise the bar in 2014 with the release of his latest album, A Bluegrass Tribute to George Jones. The new project is set to release to all major digital outlets on December 10, 2013 on the Franklin, TN based label, BlueGrass Valley Record. A collectable CD version of the project will also be made available.
BlueGrass Valley Label representative John Mathis comments, "We all began talking about Brad's next grass project over a year ago when we were launching his 'Walk On Faith' album. A Bluegrass Tribute to George Jones just kept coming up in the conversation and the concept was very appealing to Brad and our whole team. At the time Brad starting work on this, Jones was on his final tour and through the recording process we lost a great music icon. The final result is a project that is a great balance between what Brad Davis does as a producer, artist and musician as well as a tribute to George. There are bluegrass versions of songs from various stages of Jones' recording career and there is even a bonus cut of a possible missed hit. It's a GREAT Brad Davis project and it's a GREAT George Jones tribute!"
The Minnesota based coffee company, The Coffee Fool, has come on board as one of the sponsors of the new project. In particular, associating their brand Flatpicker's Fuel with promotional campaigns as Davis is known to consume quite a bit of this particular brew during his marathon recording sessions. Brad is also currently scheduling new dates and venues for 2014 that will highlight and incorporate songs from A Bluegrass Tribute to George Jones.
The new project was released to radio on December 1st via AirplayDirect.com highlighting the first single, “White Lightning”. A Bluegrass Tribute to George Jones immediately took the top APD Global Radio Indicator Chart position for Top 50 Albums for the month.
