Bluegrass singer songwriter Donna Ulisse and her band The Poor Mountain Boys were in the Nashville SiriusXM studios with Bluegrass Junction host Kyle Cantrell for a live performance earlier this spring. The show was taped and will air four times beginning this Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 12 noon eastern time.
Ulisse and her band performed several songs from her newest release Showin' My Roots, which she calls a tribute to many of her musical heroes and was co-produced with Bryan Sutton. She also dipped back into the well of some of the popular songs and crowd pleasers off of her six prior releases. The show includes a very interesting interview with Cantrell which weaves in and out of the performance.

Donna Ulisse is a two time nominee for IBMA Songwriter of the Year and has released seven bluegrass albums in the past seven years with impressive chart activity and stellar reviews. She tours with her band The Poor Mountain Boys playing festivals and concerts. She is also a sought after songwriting workshop teacher with her songs having been recorded by Claire Lynch, Diana Jones, Louise Mosrie, Darin & Brooke Aldridge, Nu-Blu, Natasha Borzilova & The Bankesters. She also had a song on the 2014 Grammy winning Del McCoury Band album, Streets of Baltimore.
