Northern California Bluegrass Society Issues Call for Films

Bluegrass on BroadwayThe Northern California Bluegrass Society has issued it’s annual Call For Films for the Eighth Annual NCBS Bluegrass Film Festival to be held on January 25, 2015 in Redwood City, CA. The film festival is part of the weekend’s NCBS Bluegrass On Broadway Festival. The deadline for film submissions for consideration by the festival is October 24, 2014.

Bluegrass on Broadway brings bluegrass music to downtown Redwood City. In addition to live performances, it also includes a bluegrass film festival, and the Northern California Bluegrass Awards. Admission is free to all Bluegrass on Broadway events!

The NCBS Bluegrass On Broadway festival receives principal financial support from the Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission, the Redwood City Public Library, and other Redwood City organizations and businesses. The film festival is part of the weekend’s Bluegrass On Broadway Festival presented by the Northern California Bluegrass Society.

The film festival director, Michael Hall, each year produces this outstanding program dedicated to the preservation of bluegrass music and its heritage.
