Owensboro, KY -- The 23 String Band has a compelling energy that dances the line between traditional bluegrass and a progressive sound all their own. It's no surprise they were one of the most requested bands in our ROMP survey this year, and we can't wait to hear them again...this time at museum!
The 23 String Band plays fun, fuel-injected, original Americana that dangerously weaves across the lanes of modern acoustic music — windows down, accelerator to the floor, on a joyride into the unknown with one eye on the vintage sounds in the rearview mirror. It’s a bluegrass attack fueled by high-octane rock-n-roll energy and triple-distilled oldtimey roots. Your feet hurt from dancing; your face hurts from grinning. Get ready: you’re riding shotgun!
Tickets go on sale Friday, September 5 at Noon CST and will be available through the Museum's website - www.bluegrassmuseum.org or by calling the Museum - 270-926-7891. This will be a standing show with limited seats available; only 120 tickets will be sold! Much like the Museum's annual summer music festival, ROMP, the concert will act as a fundraiser for the Bluegrass Museum as well as the highly anticipated Bluegrass Center in the heart of downtown Owensboro.
