R&R ProductionsBluegrass music is no longer under-represented in the Phoenix metro area! In 2014, R&R Productions was formed by two long-time bluegrass devotees, James Reams and Ned Robbins, to promote all things bluegrass in the central desert. “It was heartbreaking to see opportunities like concerts, films, and other events bypass Arizona completely on their way to or from the west coast,” lamented James Reams. “Ned and I put our heads together and pooled our resources with the goal of making Phoenix an oasis for bluegrass artists and a leader in innovative opportunities for bluegrass-related events.”

R&R Productions works with agents and/or directly with artists to coordinate, promote, and manage events. Everything is taken care of from locating an appropriate venue to press releases to ticket sales - even sound can be provided! It couldn't be simpler to bring a bluegrass event to town. So Book NOW for your 2015 event! Contact James Reams.

In 2014, R&R Productions played host to the 1st Annual Arizona Bluegrass Film Festival. The festival was so well received, that plans are already underway for next year’s festival. In October, the organization was pleased to bring Grammy-award nominee, Audie Blaylock & Redline to the metroplex. This sold-out event garnered praise from the performers and attendees alike. In fact, R&R Productions has already been contacted by another top name bluegrass band for a concert in early 2015. Future projects hope to further showcase the diversity of this musical genre and it’s appeal to audiences of all ages, ethnicities, social backgrounds.

Both Ned and James are on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Bluegrass Association, an organization that is dedicated to promoting and encouraging the uniquely American musical forms of bluegrass, old-time, gospel and traditional instrumental/vocal music. James Reams is also the bandleader for the nationally known James Reams & The Barnstormers (over 20 years now!) and is known as an “Ambassador of Bluegrass” for his dedication to and deep involvement in the thriving bluegrass and Americana music community.
