The Spinney Brothers PresentationBean Blossom, IN -- The Spinney Brothers, Canada's International Bluegrass band, made a special presentation at Bill Monroe Memorial Music Park in Bean Blossom, Indiana during their evening performance on Wednesday, September 23rd.

The band celebrated a recent #1 song with "My Music Comes From Bill" from their highly successful Tried & True album on Mountain Fever Records. The song, written by Bill Castle and Steve Watts, speaks of the influence Monroe has had on the band musically. To commemorate the career milestone, Rick and Allan Spinney felt moved to recognize the work of the Dillman family who have kept the legacy of Bill Monroe and his music alive in Bean Blossom, Indiana by fostering bluegrass music through several festivals held annually at the Bill Monroe Memorial Music Park. During their evening performance, the band presented Dwight Dillman and his family with a commemorative plaque that will be hung in Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Hall of Fame & Country Star Museum on site.

The plaque reads:

The Spinney Brothers #1 Song - "My Music Comes From Bill"
Presented to the Dillman Family, September 23, 2015, in recognition of their continued support and preservation of traditional bluegrass music & the legacy of Bill Monroe and his Blue Grass Boys

"The Spinney Brothers are so grateful to be associated with the Bill Monroe Music Park and the Dillman family," states band member Gary Dalrymple. "When we had the chance to record 'My Music Comes From Bill,' we jumped at the opportunity. The song reaching #1 is a great achievement as it represents everything we stand for in traditional Bluegrass music. Now, to honor the Dillman family and to have the plaque hang in Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Hall of Fame & Country Star Museum—we'll it's beyond words."
