Mike Scott to Host "Bluegrass Ridge", New Album Coming

Mike ScottNashville, TN (May 26, 2016) – Banjo master Mike Scott recently hosted Heartland TV's hit show "Bluegrass Ridge”. The first episode, which will air twelve times this week, included several Rural Rhythm Records music videos featuring Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out’s “Pretty Little Girl From Galax”, Marty Raybon’s “God Didn’t Choose Sides” and Scott’s “Where The Soul Of Man Never Dies”. The episode also featured an interview with Rural Rhythm artist Steve Gulley talking about his rich music family heritage in the Bluegrass genre and his new group Steve Gulley & New Pinnacle.

Scott hosted four episodes of the popular 30-minute program, which airs on Heartland TV and several other networks worldwide. "Bluegrass Ridge" features music videos from bluegrass' biggest acts, along with artist interviews and behind-the scenes content, allowing viewers a rare first-hand look at a genre that's never been hotter.

Scott is seen by millions of TV viewers each week during prime-time on RFD-TV, (60 million households), performing with Ronnie Reno & The Reno Tradition on Reno’s Old Time Music Show. Country, Gospel and Bluegrass fans also enjoyed Scott’s stellar banjo playing for many years as a member of the Virginia Boys who backed Bluegrass legends Jim & Jesse during the 80’s.

Mike Scott has released four albums over the past 6 years on Rural Rhythm Records and Rural Rhythm Christian including; Take Me Lord And Use Me, Blue Moon Of Kentucky (Tribute to Bill Monroe), Home Sweet Home (Civil War Era Songs) and The Old Country Church. In addition,Scott was the Host and performed on the TV Christmas Special Christmas The Mountain Way which aired on BlueHighways TV and Family Net.
