Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

Prime TymeThere's not a better way for a successful band to close out a year than with a performance at the Grand Ole Opry and that's just what Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out did for 2011. In addition, the band performed for a sold-out crowd at the world famous Station Inn before officially kissing 2011 goodbye with friends and family at a New Year's Eve concert in Garner, North Carolina. There's no doubt 2011 was a great year for IIIrd Tyme Out but all indications are that 2012 is likely to be even better.

Rural Rhythm Records recently sent out a press release touting the praises of Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme out and their new CD Prime Tyme, released on the label October 25, 2011. Here's what they had to say about this record-breaking CD:

Prime Tyme by Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out was released only a few short months ago making its debut at #8 on Billboard Magazine’s Top 10 Bluegrass Album Chart. The album landed on numerous year-end charts including: Bluegrass Today's Top Twelve Albums in Bluegrass Music of 2011; WNCW Radio’s Top 50 Bluegrass Albums of 2011; and the Roots Music Report’s Top 100 Bluegrass Albums of 2011.

It was just last month when the band set a new chart record when four tracks from Prime Tyme appeared on Bluegrass Music Profiles Top 30 Hot Singles chart - the first time ever the monthly chart included that many singles from the same artist.

Just a sample of January 2011 radio charts include:
