Laurie Lewis & Tom RozumVeteran family rafting outfitter ECHO River Trips has announced the 2012 lineup of their unique themed Rogue River rafting trips and Middle Fork Salmon rafting trips. The 2012 lineup of ECHO's themed family rafting trips includes Bluegrass Music (Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum), Yoga retreats, and wine tasting on Oregon's Wild and Scenic Rogue River, as well as trail running and kayaking on Idaho's Middle Fork of the Salmon River.

Oregon's Wild and Scenic Rogue River is ECHO River Trips' most popular family rafting river, offering an ideal combination of gorgeous scenery, warm waters, exciting rapids, comfortable pace and abundant wildlife. ECHO offers trips down the Rogue River (http://www.echotrips.com/rogue/) ranging from three to five days throughout the Rogue's rafting season from May to September.

Rafters looking to spice up their Rogue rafting trip can opt for any of ECHO's unique themed trips on the Rogue. ECHO's Yoga on the Rogue trip combines the scenery of the Rogue with the serenity of daily riverside Vinyasa yoga sessions led by a certified yoga instructor. ECHO's Bluegrass on Whitewater trip is a unique opportunity to hear Grammy award winning bluegrass musicians Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum fill the canyon with live Bluegrass tunes. Wine connoisseurs should check out ECHO's brand new Wine & Whitewater river trip, featuring evenings of wine tasting hosted by the co-owners of the Rogue River Valley's own Valley View Winery.

The Middle Fork of the Salmon River is widely considered to be America's premier alpine whitewater river, and it is one of ECHO River Trips' favorite family rafting adventures. ECHO's Middle Fork Salmon Rafting trips (http://www.echotrips.com/middle-salmon/) are offered from June to September, typically lasting 5 or 6 days as rafters traverse 100 miles of pristine free flowing river in Idaho's Sawtooth Mountains and the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness.

ECHO's Middle Fork of the Salmon themed trips offer a change of pace from their classic Middle Fork river trip. Brand new for the 2012 season is their Trail Running on the Middle Fork trip, a 6 day raft supported trail running trip that lets runners experience 80 miles of trail running on the beautiful Middle Fork trail, with raft support providing comfortable camping, delicious meals, medical support and a raft ride out of the canyon once the trail reaches Impassible Canyon. ECHO also offers special kayaking trips on the Middle Fork for hard shell kayakers looking for a world class guided trip down the Middle Fork.

ECHO River Trips ( www.echotrips.com ) is excited to celebrate their 40th season of family rafting trips. Founded in 1972 by owners Joe Daly and Dick Linford, ECHO quickly grew from a fledgling boating business into a world-class river outfitter offering multiday family rafting trips on the Rogue River in Oregon and Idaho's Middle Fork of the Salmon River. ECHO also runs international rafting expeditions in Bhutan, Turkey, Siberia, and Patagonia. In recent years ECHO River Trips has been honored with accolades from National Geographic Traveler, National Geographic Adventure, and Outside Magazine. The first 40 years were good to ECHO, and they are looking forward to another 40 years of world class family rafting on the world's most spectacular rivers.left
