Marty Stuart and Blue Highway Coming to Mountain Stage in Bristol

Mountain StageBristol, TN/VA -- The Birthplace of Country Music Alliance brings Mountain Stage with Larry Groce back to Bristol's Paramount Center for the Arts Sunday, March 11st at 7pm for what is sure to be a quickly sold-out event. Multi-Grammy winner Marty Stuart & the Fabulous Superlatives will share the stage with Grammy nominated and International Bluegrass Music Association standout bluegrass group Blue Highway.

"Even before the line-up announcement, nearly half the seats have already sold," states BCMA Board President John Rainero. "With Marty Stuart and Blue Highway sharing the bill, we have every reason to believe this will be another sell-out Mountain Stage show in Bristol."

Both acts were well received headlining acts at Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion last September.

"Marty Stuart is a dynamic performer with a large and loyal fan base," says BCMA/BRRR Executive Director Leah Ross, "and Blue Highway is one of the most celebrated acts in bluegrass music performing today. To see them together in an intimate venue like the Paramount, in the Birthplace of Country Music and on Mountain Stage, is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Additional performers will be announced at a later date.

The two-hour Mountain Stage event at The Paramount will be recorded for air at a later date. The NPR program is a production of West Virginia Public Broadcasting and is distributed nationwide to more than 100 affiliate stations including WETS 89.5 FM in Johnson City, TN. Mountain Stage airs Saturdays on WETS at 2am and 8pm.

Admission to the March 11st Mountain Stage event at The Paramount Center for the Arts is $35. Tickets are on sale now at The Paramount Box Office at 518 State Street in Downtown Bristol, TN and online at www.theparamountcenter.com
