Bluegrass Hope Concert SeriesThe Bluegrass Jamboree and Wilson Pickins Promotions, in partnership with sponsored venues, countless bluegrass bands, food providers, instrument builders and retailers alike and festival promoters, are proud to announce the Bluegrass Hope Concert Series, to benefit the victims of the Gatlinburg wildfires being cared for through the Tennessee Valley Coalition for the Homeless, a non-profit organization.

Dolly Parton's My People Fund Serves Nearly 900 Families

During the four day cash distribution, 884 families received their initial support payments.

Appropriately titled, 'Christmas for the Smokies,' the event was held on December 18, and also featured performances from the Garrett Newton Band with Lorraine Jordan, Darrin & Brooke Aldridge, and Tim Shelton & Rob Baker. So far, the current amount raised exceeds $16,000.

Hosted by Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road, the festival brings together many traditional bluegrass and gospel bands for an early Christmas celebration. This year, the festival will go on with no interruption to the musical program or accommodations due to the wildfires. However, the festival has also has been blessed with the opportunity to help local residents who have been impacted by the devastating fire that has ravaged the area.

On Saturday October 22, around 450 attendees enjoyed live Bluegrass music while raising money for our local Hospice of St. Mary’s, Hospice House. Bluegrass for Hospice-2016 was held at Bubby Knott’s Flat Iron Farm in Great Mills, MD.

This year will be the 16th Year for Musicians Against Childhood Cancer.

Del McCoury to Headline Cockeysville Music Fest for Susie’s Cause

(“Susie’s Cause”) is honored to present The Del McCoury Band, featuring legendary bluegrass superstar Del McCoury, at its Bluegrass-Folk Festival on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Oregon Ridge Park in Cockeysville, Maryland. This second annual event will also feature rising star singer-songwriter Sarah Jarosz, old-time bluegrass stalwarts The Seldom Scene, Mipso, The Stray Birds, Tim and Savannah Finch with the Eastman String Band, and the Ken and Brad Kolodner Quartet. All festival proceeds benefit Susie’s Cause, the Baltimore-based national nonprofit foundation dedicated to colon cancer prevention, treatment, and support services.

Musicians Against Childhood Cancer assists the victims of Childhood Cancer, their families, treating physicians and research facilities in the diagnosis, treatment and eradication of childhood cancer to provide financial assistance to the victims, their families and physicians and research facilities and to provide such service or services free of charge.
