Mountain Fever Releases New CD “Run” from Mississippi’s Volume Five

 RunWillis, VA -- Mountain Fever Records is proud to announce the release of Run, the brand new album from Mississippi-based Volume Five. Today’s release marks the bands third with the label and follows the radio release of the album’s first single, “Rich Man’s Daughter” in October 2012. The single went to number one on the Bluegrass Today chart.

Red Oak and Ash due for Feb 26 Release

Red Oak and AshJR Rudd will release his 13 track debut album, Red Oak and Ash next week on February 26th. Rudd recruited some of his favorite St. Louis musicians to perform on his new release. While accustomed to live solo performances, his latest project includes a variety of guest musicians that include Chris Powers (7 Shot Screamers, Griddle Kids), Jerry Green (The Potomac Accord), Mae Soule (North of The Quarter, Salty Dogg), Andy Benn (The Potomac Accord) and Art Link (South Outer Forty, Michael Terry Group).

Run Boy Run Completes So Sang The Whppoorwill

So Sang the WhippoorwillRun Boy Run has completed their new album So Sang The Whipporwill. For those of you who don't know them, Run Boy Run is an Arizona band that won the 2011 Telluride Bluegrass Festival and the 2010 Pick'en in the Pines Folk Festival in Flagstaff Arizona. They have subsequently played as a paid band in Telluride and recently appeared with Garrison Keillor on A Prairie Home Companion on January 19th at Gammage Auditorium in Tempe and this weekend at the Fitzgerald Auditorium in St. Paul.

They have been working on it for about 2 months, when they could find the time to get together at the studio. They recorded this one at Josh Swift’s studio and some at Mike Roger’s studio, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver then headed to the studio at Crossroads to start recording some special songs that will be a part of a new opportunity coming up.

Urban Monroes Release New Single to Radio

Urban MonroesOn Feb 8th the Urban Monroes released the single “Never My Love” making it available to DJ’s at Airplay Direct. With Valentine’s Day coming, love is in the air and it does seem a timely release. Though it wasn’t originally planned to coincide with the 14th, a bluegrass love song that doesn’t end up with a murder in it is a nice touch for the heart-felt holiday.

Three Tall Pines Expecting New Recording this Spring

Three Tall PinesThree Tall Pines is very excited to announce that they have been very busy in the studio during the past fall and into the early winter. The group is recording a new EP in beautiful Portland Maine under the production wing of Ron cody and engineer Steve Drown at The Studio. Darel Anger is arranging some of the fiddle power so you know this will be a wonderfuly arranged release.
