Mountain Heart is thrilled to announce their new partnership and an upcoming studio album, their first since 2010! It’s been five years since Mountain Heart released a new album, and we’re stoked to finally have new music to share with our fans! Writing and touring throughout this stretch has allowed us time to gather what we feel is the best batch of songs we’ve ever recorded. We went to a studio in Asheville, NC and recorded the project we’ve always wanted to make, and because this is a self-produced record, we didn’t have any major deadlines or constraints working against us. We simply let down our guard and played and sang with passion and energy just like we do on stage every night.

The Ohio band Nightflyer has completed their first professional video for the Hazel Dickens’ tune “Old River” off their recent CD, “Rail River & Road.” It’s safe to say that it isn’t your average bluegrass video. The video was filmed over two days along the banks of the Ohio River in the quaint little town of New Richmond, Ohio, just east of Cincinnati; and an additional day in a Northern Kentucky swimming pool. Yes, swimming pool.
