Kameron Keller Joins Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice

Kameron KellerJunior Sisk & Ramblers Choice would like to announce the addition of Kameron Keller to the band. Keller, a native of east Tennessee, is a strong bass player who has spent the past several years with acclaimed group Grasstowne. Although he is just in his early twenties, he has already become known in the bluegrass world for his solid, driving style. Welcome to the group, Kameron!

Junior Sisk Partners with Chantilly Farm

Calling Sisk “one of the most prominent rising stars in traditional bluegrass music,” Chantilly Farm lead promoter Jason Gallimore says that the venue’s entire team is excited about the partnership. “We believe this partnership will bring a whole new level of interest in what we are doing here at Chantilly Farm,” he says.

Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice Start on New Album

Junior Sisk & Ramblers ChoiceJunior Sisk & Ramblers Choice are excited to announce that the band has started work on recording a new album. The guys spent February 5-6 working with Wesley Easter at Eastwood Studios in Cana, VA, where they were able to start working on about five songs. They'll be working on the album through the end of March, and hope to have it released this summer. The band is sharing time in the studio with their time on the road.

The location was the Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver Festival in Denton, NC and the photographer was Bill Lusk. Bill has a great blog and shared some behind the scenes photos and also a short video titled "How To Have Fun At Work." One of the photos is in need of a caption and there's a contest to see who comes up with the winner.

Larry Sparks & Junior Sisk Headline 5th Bluegrass for Hospice

Larry SparksGreat Mills, MD -- Bluegrass for Hospice-2013 will be held on Saturday October 26. Not only is the event celebrating its 5th year, but headliner, Larry Sparks is celebrating his 50th year in Bluegrass music. Bluegrass for Hospice-2013 will be held at the Flat Iron Farm in Great Mills, Maryland. It is located on Flat Iron Road just 1.5 miles from MD Route 5. The event begins at Noon with gates opening at 11:00 am. All proceeds for the day go to support the Hospice House of St. Mary’s County.

MerleFest Lineup Features IBMA Award-Winning Artists

Steep Canyon RangersWilkesboro, NC -- MerleFest, presented by Lowe’s and slated for April 24-27, 2014, introduced a sneak peek to its lineup at International Bluegrass Music Association’s (IBMA) World of Bluegrass in Raleigh, and many of the artists on the sneak peek lineup brought home IBMA awards. MerleFest was a sponsor for the North Carolina Bluegrass Pavilion at this year's World of Bluegrass. MerleFest, a four-day event that is an annual homecoming of musicians and music fans, will once again take place on the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina.

Bluegrass for HosiceHeadlining this year's Bluegrass for Hospice will be Larry Sparks, celebrating 50 years in Bluegrass entertainment, along with Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice, a Rebel recording artist. The event will be held on Saturday October 26, 2013 at the Flat Iron Farm in Great Mills, Maryland. Bluegrass for Hospice is a one day music festival and a family oriented event that is a fundraiser for our local Hospice House of St. Mary’s County.
