Deer Creek Boys Join Mountain Fever Records

Deer Creek BoysWhile attending SPBGMA in Nashville last week, Mountain Fever Records had the great pleasure of signing the Deer Creek Boys to their roster! This great band formed in 1999 when two brothers and a childhood friend starting picking and writing together in Amherst County, Virginia. But the past few years have seen them inactive with original members Justin Tomlin spending a few years playing guitar for Nothin Fancy, and his brother Jason on bass with Junior Sisk.

Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice Welcome Noah Brown on Bass

Noah BrownJunior Sisk & Ramblers Choice would like to announce the addition of Noah Brown to the band's lineup. Brown will take the bass position recently vacated upon Kameron Keller's move to the Darrell Webb Band.

Mountain Faith Band Lineup Changes for 2016

Mountain Faith 'I Live' TourMountain Faith, a band that jumped to national recognition with their performances on America's Got Talent last year, is starting the new year with some big changes to the band's lineup. Earlier this month, Luke Dotson, the band's guitarist announced that he was leaving the band to spend more time with his wife. Since their sudden rise in popularity, their performance schedule exploded and the rising band was spending a considerable amount of time on the road and away from home. For now anyway, fiddler David Meyer will take over the guitar for the band.

Chris Jones & The Night Drivers Welcome Banjoist Gina Clowes

Gina ClowesNashville, TN -- Chris Jones & The Night Drivers welcome the band’s newest member, banjo player Gina Clowes, who will make her debut alongside current members Jones, Mark Stoffel (mandolin) and Jon Weisberger (bass) at the World Famous Station Inn in Nashville, TN, on February 19th. She will fill the spot held by Ned Luberecki who announced his amicable departure from the band on January 15th.

Hillbilly Gypsies Announce Evolutionary Band Change

The Hillbilly GypsiesWednesday, January 20th, Trae Buckner of the Hillbilly Gypsies announced a major band shakeup. The band has been together for over a decade playing their own homegrown style of Appalachian old time music, mixed with a hard drivin’ bluegrass sound. The band has announced that three members, Dave Asti, Ty Jaquay and Ryan Cramer have all decided that it is their time to step down and retire from the touring life with the band.

Ben Eldridge Retires From The Seldom Scene, Rickie Simpkins Joins The Band

Ben EldridgeThe Seldom Scene announces that founding member Ben Eldridge has retired after nearly 45 years with the Grammy-nominated band. Eldridge is the last original member of the popular bluegrass quintet, but the band will continue to perform, with Rickie Simpkins on banjo and fiddle.

Travers Chandler and Steven Dowdy Making it Real
