Bluegrass Artist Steve Gulley Signs Long-Term Deal with Rural Rhythm

Sam Passamano and Steve GulleyNashville, TN -- Rural Rhythm Records is proud to announce it has signed a long-term recording and production agreement with Steve Gulley. The first album will be a gospel album titled Family,Friends & Fellowship, and is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2014. Guest artists on the album include; Ricky Skaggs, Doyle Lawson, Kenny & Amanda Smith, Joe Mullins, Tim Surrett, Phil Leadbetter, Les Butler, Mark Wheeler, Don Gulley, Debbie Gulley, Brad Gulley and more. Steve says, “I have felt the need to record an all-gospel project for a long time now. I have always looked at my music as a ministry and an extension of my faith so I’m so excited to finally have the chance to see this come to fruition in the making of Family,Friends & Fellowship.

Van Glynn Joins The Fabulous Bagasse Boyz

The Fabulous Bagasse BoyzLouisana's The Fabulous Bagasse Boyz have announced that Van Glynn will be replacing Anthony Rushing in the band. The band says, "hile you might have thought that we’d eventually fade into the night like a bad dream, we’re back and terrorizing your nightmares again. Just like clowns, nuns and cliffs, we’re just on the edge of your consciousness and ready to dig right into your emotional psyche and keep you wide eyed and nervous at 2:00 AM. Anyway, big news on the Bagasse front. Anthony Rushing finally came to his senses after his reputation was completely ruined and threw in the towel. Between grad school, teaching full time, working part-time and being married, somehow The Boyz didn’t make the cut time-wise. Go figure. Also, there goes our chick magnet. Anyway, we’ll be featuring the amazing fiddle prowess of Van Glynn of Mandeville, LA."

Darrell Webb Band Joins Mountain Fever Records Roster

Randy Barnes Joins Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers

Randy BarnesXenia, OH -- The International Bluegrass Music Association's (IBMA) reigning Emerging Artist of Year, Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers will be making their encore appearance in Nashville, TN when they visit two historic music landmarks on Saturday, September 7th — the Grand Ole Opry and the Station Inn. Making his first appearance with the band will be their newest addition to the band, bass player Randy Barnes.

Fiddler Josh Greene Joins Fret High

Sideline Last Minute Addition to Gettysburg Lineup

SidelineGettysburg, PA -- The all-star band, Sideline was added to the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival lineup last week. Sideline, with Steve Dilling (banjo/vocals), Skip Cherryholmes (guitar/vocals), Darrell Webb (mandolin/vocals), Justen Haynes (fiddle) and Jason Moore (bass) will perform on Thursday, August 15, at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Kim Robbins Announces Josh Woods as New Banjo Player

Josh WoodsNashville, TN -- Kim Robins is proud to announce the hiring of Josh Woods as the new banjo player for the 40 Years Late band. Josh currently lives in Indianapolis, Indiana with his wife Katie and is employed by SafeCare. Josh was first exposed to bluegrass music after hearing Tom Holt and the Boys from Indiana as a young boy. He explains “the music made my hairs stand up.” Josh immediately began playing bass then quickly switched to guitar. Because the chord changes and playing lead came so natural, he also began playing mandolin and banjo. Josh states “it is such an honor to be a member of 40 Years Late. Kim’s music is a breath of fresh air and I am excited to be a part of it.”

Dave Adkins & Republik Steele Join Mountain Fever Roster

Dave Adkins & Republik SteelMountain Fever Records is proud to announce they have signed Dave Adkins & Republik Steele to the label. The band made the official announcement during their appearance on the WSM Radio Station Inn Sessions in Nashville, Tenn. A new single will be released this fall with the highly anticipated new album releasing early next year. The project will be co-produced by Aaron Ramsey of the band Mountain Heart and Mark Hodges of Mountain Fever Records.

Andy Hatfield Joins Bluegrass Express

Bluegrass ExpressBluegrass Express of northwestern Illinios is excited to welcome multi-instrumentalist Andy Hatfield to the band on mandolin and guitar. Andy was the 2011 National Flatpicking Guitar Champion at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS. He also took second place in the mandolin contest at the 2012 Walnut Valley Festival, after a third place finish in the mandolin contest the year before. Andy has been an instructor at Steve Kaufman's Gold Award winning Acoustic Kamp. "Andy is a fantastic musician, and we're looking forward to playing a lot of great music with him."
