Andy Hatfield Joins Bluegrass Express

Bluegrass ExpressBluegrass Express of northwestern Illinios is excited to welcome multi-instrumentalist Andy Hatfield to the band on mandolin and guitar. Andy was the 2011 National Flatpicking Guitar Champion at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KS. He also took second place in the mandolin contest at the 2012 Walnut Valley Festival, after a third place finish in the mandolin contest the year before. Andy has been an instructor at Steve Kaufman's Gold Award winning Acoustic Kamp. "Andy is a fantastic musician, and we're looking forward to playing a lot of great music with him."

Sleepy Man Banjo Boys Make Welcome Blake Pitney

Blake PitneyThe Sleepy Man Banjo Boys bluegrass music group has announced the addition of 20-year old Blake Pitney on Bass. The band says, "Blake is equally talented on both acoustic and electric bass, and we’re really excited to have him traveling with us!" Part of the welcome was that the band said if they received likes on their page, they would post a photo of Blake in a white tuxedo. Award-winning Fiddler Michael Cleveland Signs to Compass Records

Daniel Patrick18-year old Daniel Patrick will join the award-winning The Roys on stage for the first time in Auburn, AL at the University Station Bluegrass Festival (May 30-31). Starting out his music career at age three, Daniel Patrick has been around the music all his life. Blessed with a wonderful family he has played professionally as “The Daniel Patrick and Family” Bluegrass and Gospel band for 11 years. Now at the age of 18, Daniel is looking to take a bigger step in his career.

The Darrell Webb Band Hires New Banjo Player

David CarrollDarrell Webb hired David Carroll as the new banjo player for the Darrell Webb Band. Born and raised in Bath County,VA David now lives in Bedford, VA with his wife and daughter. David played banjo for the Deer Creek Boys a local band from Amherst County, VA. David has appeared on stage with a number of national artists "I am really excited and looking forward to being a part of such an awesome band" Said Carroll.

Feller & Hill Announce New Band Lineup

Bluegrass BuckaroosNashville, TN -- Feller and Hill and the Bluegrass Buckaroos adjusted their band lineup recently. Three new artists have taken up their positions with Feller and Hill. The band has announced that Glen Inman (aka,Cookie) on bass, Steve Day on fiddle and Mark Poe on guitar have recently joined the Bluegrass Buckaroos lineup. Day will continue working with Ronnie Reno also. The new members will begin working on the next Feller and Hill project in their Buckaroo Studios. Compass Records Signs Bluegrass Band The Bankesters

The BankestersNashville, TN -- Compass Records is excited to announce that The Bankesters have joined its roster of bluegrass artists. Phil and Dorene Bankester and their three daughters and son-in-law are known for some of the finest harmony singing in bluegrass music. They are currently at work gathering material for a new album to be produced by Alison Brown and tentatively slated for a fall 2013 release.
