Compass Records to Distribute Jim Lauderdale’s Latest Bluegrass Album

Bluegrass Songs by Robert Hunter and Jim LauderdaleNashville, TN -- The Compass Records Group is proud to announce another dynamic partnership; the Nashville-based roots music company is handling distribution of Jim Lauderdale’s new bluegrass album Carolina Moonrise: Bluegrass Songs by Robert Hunter and Jim Lauderdale through Lauderdale’s personal label Sky Crunch Records. The pairing represents the fruition of a long friendship between Compass co-founders Garry West and Alison Brown with Lauderdale and Compass’ growing reputation as an independent haven for the artist ownership-licensing model. The new album, available as of Sept 25th, is the natural next progression from the Grammy-nominated 2011 Hunter-Lauderdale bluegrass collaboration Reason and Rhyme and features a phenomenal band of Nashville super-pickers produced and engineered by Dobro master Randy Kohrs.
