Eureka Springs Bluegrass Festival Returns

Eureka Springs Bluegrass FestivalEureka Springs’ annual Bluegrass Festival is back for another year and as always, jam-packed with lively and talented musicians. The festival takes place from Aug. 13-15, 2015. The Bluegrass Festival kicks off with a Watermelon Social at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13 in Basin Spring Park presented by the Eureka Springs City Advertising & Promotion Commission. This event is an open jam and everyone is invited to bring their instruments and join in. Free watermelon and water will be provided.

The Bluegrass Ball Announces Dates and Artists

Bluegrass BallChances are if you’ve been to a bluegrass festival the memories most prevalent are not so much that of the “scheduled” performers but more of the impromptu jams and unscheduled collaborations. It’s with that spirit that the McCoury family decided to embark on a traveling bluegrass festival called The Bluegrass Ball. In the past 3 years, The Bluegrass Ball has traveled across the country picking up multiple pickers and fans along the way.

Bristol Rhythm 2015 Artist Day Schedules Released

Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion 2015Bristol, TN/VA -- The 15th Annual Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion has released its 2015 Artist Day Schedule for fans anxious to learn on which day their favorite artist will play during the 3-day event. Headliners Steve Earle and The Dukes and Delbert McClinton will both perform on Sunday, Dr. Dog on Friday, and Josh Ritter & The Royal City Band will perform on Saturday in addition to the dozens of acts schedule to appear over the entirety of the weekend. Single Day Wristbands are also now available for purchase. The full schedule will be released in coming weeks. Friday Wristbands are $35, Saturday $45, and Sunday is $35.

Solivan and his group won the IBMA Instrumental Band Award last year, so that’s pretty cool. Molasses Creek is coming over from Ocracoke to join us on Friday, and Hickory Project will be here for the whole weekend, so there’s going to be a little something different each day for our audience,” said Pete Pappalardo, the event coordinator.

First Artists Announced for Raleigh, NC's Wide Open Bluegrass

IBMA World of Bluegrass 2015Nashville, TN -- The International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) released an initial list of performers for the Wide Open Bluegrass festival, presented by PNC, which takes place October 2-3 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Wide Open Bluegrass includes both ticketed main stage performances at Raleigh’s Red Hat Amphitheater and free stages. A portion of proceeds from the ticket sales of Red Hat Amphitheater go to the Bluegrass Trust Fund, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to individuals in the bluegrass music community in times of emergency need.

Flatt Lonesome Headline Burnet Bluegrass Fest & Fiddlers Contest

Flatt Lonesome2014 Emerging Artist of the Year Flatt Lonesome will be the featured entertainment at this year's City of Burnet Bluegrass Festival. Named one of the “Five Rising Roots Acts to Watch in 2015” by CMT Edge, Flatt Lonesome made their Texas debut last year at Haley Nelson Park. Also entertaining will be the Sieker Band and Dueling Hearts.
