Performers, Presenters Announced for Bluegrass Music Awards

The Seldom SceneNashville, TN -- Performers and presenters for the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA)’s 25th International Bluegrass Music Awards, held on Thursday, October 2 at 7:30 p.m. EST, have been announced. The Awards Show, held at Raleigh, North Carolina’s Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts (Memorial Auditorium) will feature performances and award presentations from some of the genre’s brightest stars.

Lonesome River Band Added to Pickin' in the Pasture Line-Up

Lonesome River BandLonesome River Band was recently added to the Pickin' In The Pasture line-up and will perform at the Lodi, New York festival on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 3:00 and 9:00 pm. Festival promoter Andy Alexander said, “Sammy Shelor's group has been one of the biggest draws in bluegrass music for decades. Their unique sound has spawned a generation of new bluegrass fans. Lonesome River Band certainly brings a high level of excitement to the stage and we are really looking forward to them joining us.”

The Duhks Join FreshGrass Lineup, Daily Lineups Announced

The DuhksNorth Adams, MA -- FreshGrass, MASS MoCA's annual bluegrass and roots festival, is famous for its lineup, its workshop programs in conjunction with The Berklee College of Music, its urban setting nestled in the bucolic Berkshire mountains - and infamous for its late-night, moonshine slushies-fueled parties that close out the first two nights of music. This year, Canadian fusion-folk stars The Duhks plan to raise the roof when they play the late show on opening night. The festival just released its day-by-day lineup for September 19-21, 2014.
