Song of the Mountains Fundraising Concert June 21, 2014

Song of the MountainsMarion, VA- Song of the Mountains will present their summer fundraising concert at the Lincoln Theatre in Marion, Virginia on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm. The fundraising concert will be presented this year as a 2:00 pm matinee to allow ticket buyers and fans of the concert series to attend the concert early in the day and enjoy the restaurants and stores in Downtown Marion after the concert.

The Gentlemen of Bluegrass to Release Carolina Memories

Carolina MemoriesNashville, TN -- The Gentlemen of Bluegrass, a collaborative project of master musicians Danny Stanley, JC Rowland, Tom Langdon, Greg Penny and Randy Smith have announced a scheduled release of their latest project, Carolina Memories, on Pinecastle Records, June 10, 2014. "We are thrilled to have Carolina Memories hit #4 on Airplay Direct, the first week of release," said Producer, Lorraine Jordan. "Danny Stanley, J.C. Rowland and Tom Langdon personify vocal harmony and when you couple that with the addition of Randy Smith, a superb banjo player and Greg Penny, an acoustic bass player with great timing and tone; this band has what it takes to be on a national level. I am excited for bluegrass fans to have an opportunity to experience old style bluegrass in a fresh, new way."

Gentlemen of Bluegrass and Hall of FamersThe Gentlemen of Bluegrass is proud and excited to announce that they will be playing several gigs this year with Bluegrass Hall of Famers, Eddie Adcock and Tom Gray. The Gentlemen of Bluegrass is a relatively new group to appear on the bluegrass scene. The Gentlemen, based within the Carolinas, are noted for their close harmonies and resonant leads in the style of Charlie Waller, John Starling, Jim Eanes, and Jim Reeves.
