Conway Gandy, which includes his rare and extensive collection of bluegrass LPs, CDs, cassette tapes, books, and recorded radio shows.

Circa Blue to Donate Concert Proceeds to Local Flood Victims

Circa BlueMilton, West Virginia -- West Virginia national touring band, Circa Blue will perform at the Mountaineer Opry House in Milton this Saturday, July 2 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $5 for 12 and under at the door - no presales. The band and their booking agent, Liz DiSessa from Heart Roots Music, are donating 100% of the band proceeds, including merchandise sales, to a to-be-determined worthwhile flood victim charity fund. The fundraising campaign which launched on Easter of this year and ran through Father's Day, raised money simply by tallying views of the "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" performance video featuring The Isaacs.

IBMA Receives Donation from North Carolina Pork Council

IBMANashville, TN -- Due to September’s highly successful N.C. Whole Hog Barbecue State Championship, the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) received a gift of $10,000 from the N.C. Pork Council (NCPC), the state’s pork industry association.

Bluegrass Band Detour Continues Support of Homeless Veterans

DetourTraverse City, MI -- Detour bluegrass band announced last year they would be donating proceeds from the sales of their song "Homeless Of The Brave" to Goodwill’s Patriot Place project. Patriot Place is a transitional housing community for Northern Michigan’s homeless veterans. Last week, songwriter and band member, Jeff Rose presented another $1,000 check to Lilly Nowicki, Event and Database Coordinator with Goodwill.
