Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival Announces Lineup, Early Bird Deadline

Lonesome River Band Takes Their Bluegrass West

Lonesome River BandAward winning bluegrass music group Lonesome River Band heads west this weekend with performances in California and Arizona over the next several weeks. Their first show of the tour will be held at the Palms Playhouse in Winters, CA this Friday followed by “A Night at the Grange” concert in Morgan Hill, CA on Saturday. The band will be live in the studio with ‘Sleepy John” on KPIG Radio 107.5 FM on Sunday before traveling to Durham, CA for a concert Tuesday, February 26.

Song of the Mountain November 3rd Taping was Excellent Show

Lonesome River Band at 30Song of the Mountain had a fantastic concert taping at the Lincoln Theatre last Saturday evening. It was great to have the award winning bluegrass music group Lonesome River Band return to the show. They have not been on the program since our first season in 2005. Sammy Shelor who plays banjo with the Lonesome River Band was last year's recipient of the "Steve Martin Award for Excellence in Banjo & Bluegrass" which included a $50,000.00 monetary prize.
