10th Anniversary Bluegrass at The Pavilion Concert April 11th

Balsam RangeThe Flagler Museum will host its 10th annual Bluegrass in The Pavilion Concert on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. Balsam Range and The Grascals will perform at this National Historic Landmark. Tickets are $35 and all proceeds benefit the South Arts' emergency planning for Gulf Coast cultural institutions. The Pavilion concerts continue to bring the best Bluegrass musicians to South Florida. Past artists have included Audie Blaylock and Redline and Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver.

Mountain Home Music Co Artists Receive SPBGMA Award Nominations

 Balsam Range, Doyle Lawson, Flatt Lonesome, The GrascalsNashville, TN --- Mountain Home Music Company congratulates label artists who received award nominations this week for the 41st annual Bluegrass Music Awards by the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America, (SPBGMA). SPBGMA awards will be selected by a vote by attendees during the SPBGMA convention, slated for February 5-8 at the Sheraton Music City in Nashville. Winners will be announced during an awards show starting at 6:30 p.m. on February 8th.

Music City Roots Hosts IBMA Nominations Show

Sam BushPerhaps you followed the drama that surrounded the International Bluegrass Music Association moving its annual World Of Bluegrass convention from Nashville to Raleigh, NC last year. The group, which supports the art and business of bluegrass worldwide, wrestled with declining attendance and many complicated pros and cons of Nashville. We were courted by officials from Raleigh who proved beyond a doubt that they wanted World of Bluegrass to be part of their Fall calendar and culture. And long story short, we made a very tough decision to head to a new city and it went better than any of us dared to hope. Even the IBMA Awards show was a hit, despite the painful sacrifice of moving out of the Ryman Auditorium.
